IBM 4800-202
The IBM 4800 Model 202 SurePOS 750 is a Narrow machine. The narrow footprint SurePOS 750 is suited to the customer who wants to distribute the POS I/O or is space constrained. It is optimized for Windows 2000 Professional Edition (upon availability) and Windows 98 2nd Edition. This model can also be used by 4690 OS V2R3 (upon availability) as a controller or controller/terminal. Battery backup is standard, providing power to the SurePOS 750 and attached peripherals (except the CRT), so the system can continue to check out customers in the event of an AC power loss. In the event of an extended power loss, it provides sufficient time to perform an orderly shutdown of the system and prevents the loss of valuable transaction data. It provides the following function:
- A 64 bit architecture terminal with a Intel Celeron, 500MHz or higher processor
- 64 Megabytes of memory standard
- SVGA video with 4 Megabyte of video memory
- One Digital Visual Interface (DVI-I) video port
- 128KB NVRAM
- Autosensing 10/100 Ethernet with Wake on LAN (WOL)
- One Ethernet cable for connecting to LAN
- A RPL (Remote Program Load) subsystem that supports DHCP/PXE, TCP/IP bootp and IBM RPL protocols
- A network management enabled BIOS that supports APM/ACPI, WfM 1.1, and DMI 2.3
- Battery Backup standard
- Eight standard powered USB I/O ports for Point-of-Sale I/O
- Seven standard USB ports with +12VDC and color coded, keyed, positive latching connectors
- One standard USB port with +24VDC and color coded, keyed, positive latching connectors
- Two cash drawer ports (+24VDC)
- Two RS-232 ports
- PS/2 keyboard port
- Parallel port
- Three half-length PCI feature card slots
- Two 3.5″ bays (1 FDD and 1 HDD)
- One 5.25″ bay
- Front access Dump Switch
- The choice of a specified lock or a blank plug is required at order entry time. (Blank plug specify code is #9200. Standard lock specify codes are #9202 through #9211).

- Capability to expand to 256 Megabytes of memory with two 168 pin, SDRAM PC-100 compatible DIMM memory sockets that can contain any combination of 32, 64 or 128MB DIMMs
