The IBM 4800 Model 202 SurePOS 750 is a Narrow machine. The narrow footprint SurePOS 750 is suited to the customer who wants to distribute the POS I/O or is space constrained. It is optimized for Windows 2000 Professional Edition (upon availability) and Windows 98 2nd Edition. This model can also be used by 4690 OS V2R3 (upon availability) as a controller or controller/terminal. Battery backup is standard, providing power to the SurePOS 750 and attached peripherals (except the CRT), so the system can continue to check out customers in the event of an AC power loss. In the event of an extended power loss, it provides sufficient time to perform an orderly shutdown of the system and prevents the loss of valuable transaction data.
