The IBM 4800 SurePOS 740 Model C41 is the controller model of the next generation of SurePOS 700. The C41 is optimized to be used as a controller in the IBM 4690 OS environment. This model can also be implemented as a controller running Windows, Linux, or DOS.
The C41 provides the processing power and flexibility for full-function back office applications. It provides the following functions:
- Intel Celeron 2 GHz processor (P4 socket) with 400MHz Front Side Bus
- 512 Mb of DDR memory standard
- One 40 Gb Hard Drive
- SVGA video
- Shared Video Memory 64MB maximum
- 128KB NVRAM
- Autosensing 10/100 ethernet with Wake on LAN (WOL)
- A network management enabled BIOS that supports APM/ACPI, WfM, and SMBIOS 2.3
- Audio subsystem: Mic in, Line out (back) and headphone ports (back and front)
- IBM SurePorts, Powered USB: 1x 24V USB, 7x 12V USB, 2x cash drawer
- Four standard PC USB 2.0 ports (2 back, 2 front), 1x 12V USB (front)
- Four standard RS-232 ports
- Parallel port
- PS/2 keyboard port, PC mouse port
- Two half-length PCI feature card slots
- Front access Dump Switch
- IBM SurePOS 700 Custom Covers, Narrow (12″): Storm Gray (Light) or Iron Gray (Dark)
