The IBM 4800 SurePOS 740 Model W41 is equivalent to Model 741 except Model W41 comes with the Microsoft Windows XP Professional operating system preloaded on a 40 GB HDD standard. The SurePOS 740 are the value models of the next generation of SurePOS 700. It provides the following functions:

- One 40Gb Hard Drive preloaded with Windows XP
- SVGA video
- Shared Video Memory 64MB maximum

- Four standard PC USB 2.0 ports (2 back, 2 front), 1x 12V USB (front)
