What are RTI’s refurbishment standards?
As the IBM POS Consignment Vendor, IBM relies on us to refurbish equipment for them. If IBM can count on us for high quality, you can too. We are also electro-static discharge (ESD) compliant and incorporate that into everything we do. Once your equipment has been repaired or refurbished by Retail Tech, it has a 90 day warranty and can be added to a new or existing maintenance contract. No IBM CE Inspection required. We use high quality, OEM parts when repairing or replacing items on your equipment.
The Process
1) The equipment is completely disassembled.
2) Thoroughly cleaned inside and out by hand. We inspect plastic cosmetics for any cracks or broken pieces.
3) Any broken/damaged parts are repaired or replaced.
4) Exterior of equipment is painted (if necessary)
5) Equipment is customized to the customer’s exact configuration including upgrades and special features
6) Equipment is reassembled and fully tested.
7) Foam packed into custom boxes to ensure safe shipping
