Retail Tech, Inc. provides the highest quality refurbished POS hardware on the market. As the IBM POS Consignment Vendor, IBM relies on us to refurbish POS equipment for them. If IBM can count on us for high quality than you can too!
We provide a 90 day warranty on everything we sell, and the equipment can be added to a new or existing maintenance contract. No IBM CE Inspection required. See our refurbishment steps here.
- All Base units are cleaned, tested, refurbished, and configured to customer’s specifications.
- All touchscreens are checked and calibrated. If screen is visibly worn, the touchscreen is replaced with a new one.
- Keyboards are cleaned, tested, refurbished and configured to customer’s keyboard layout regarding key/keycap sizes. Customized keyboard legending is also available.
- Cash drawers are cleaned, tested, refurbished, and painted. The rails are lubricated, a till is inserted, and a rear modesty cover installed.
- Flat panel displays are cleaned, tested, refurbished, and checked for acceptable brightness per customer’s specifications. If the display is to be integrated, the units are assembled with the appropriate mount.
- Vacuum Fluorescent Displays (VFD) are cleaned, tested, refurbished and the lenses are buffed and checked for acceptable brightness per customer specifications. Units are assembled with post and yoke.
- Printers are cleaned, tested, refurbished, configured and painted. Printheads are replaced if necessary.
- All major components are labeled with RTI labels for warranty tracking. Serial numbers of all base units and peripherals are recorded and reported to customer.
